Award-winning year

The department of oceanography finished out 2011 with recognition of three of its faculty. John Kessler’s research findings during the Deepwater Horizon oil spill were named one of “Discover Magazine’s Top 100 Stories of 2011,” John Wormuth received a Dean’s award for teaching, and David Brooks received an AFS teaching award.
